Partnership coordinator

LUT University’s Management Services is seeking a partnership coordinator

The work focuses on coordinating the establishment and annual issuing of the joint Global Prize by LUT University and Clare Hall, Cambridge. Clare Hall is an Institute of advanced study and graduate college in the University of Cambridge. The Global Prize for Solutions to Climate Change Threats will be a notable annual recognition for finding innovative science-based solutions to extreme threats posed by climate change, starting in 2026. You will also participate in the coordination of the Visiting Fellowship programme between the two institutions.

Your job will consist of various coordination and administration tasks related to the prize, e.g., supporting the decision makers and handling the related administrative processes related to the prize criteria, call for applications, selection criteria of the applicants, and the development of the prize related annual task cycle at LUT. In addition to the internal communication, the job requires active communication with Clare Hall representatives as well as with external stakeholders and the communications units of both LUT and Clare Hall.

Excellent interaction skills and the desire to learn and help to develop a project from its inception are essential in this position. Resilience, the ability to work under pressure, reliability as well as an ability to prioritise various assignments are a requirement to succeed in this job. Additionally, understanding of the core functions of a university - scientific research and academic education – is needed along with the understanding of possibilities provided by international partnerships.

Your home campus will be in Lappeenranta, Finland and the work will require some travelling abroad. Partial remote work is possible. 

The salary is based on the current collective agreement for Finnish universities. The salary will be at requirement level 9 (EUR 3213,69 / month), on the expert and support staff pay scale. In addition, the pay includes a personal, performance-based salary element 6–50%. The typical entry-level salary in similar positions is EUR 3700–3900 / month.

The employment relationship is permanent and full-time. The work will begin as soon as possible by agreement and has a six-month trial period.
